Baseball Recap: Upland Comes Up Short

Upland managed to slip by Rancho Cucamonga the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Highlanders/Scots lost 7-1 to the Cougars on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Highlanders/Scots couldn't push the score so high this time.

Upland's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

While Upland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
