Recap: De Beque Dragons vs. Soroco Rams
In what's become a running theme this season, the De Beque Dragons gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Soroco with a sharp 54-32 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win De Beque has posted since December 2, 2023.
De Beque's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Rigsby led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Rigsby hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Vines, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
De Beque is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Soroco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Caprock Academy the next time they take the court. Soroco will host Caprock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while De Beque will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
