            Baseball Recap: Regis Jesuit Raiders vs. ThunderRidge Grizzlies        
        
		
        
        
            It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Regis Jesuit ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Monday. They won by a  run and slipped past the ThunderRidge Grizzlies  5-4. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  win against them.
 Diesel Bernosky was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  home run, one  triple,  and two  RBI. That  triple was  his first of the season.  Jacob Olson was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Regis Jesuit was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as ThunderRidge only posted a  batting average of  .212.

Regis Jesuit's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for ThunderRidge, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Regis Jesuit will  square off against  rival Ponderosa  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, ThunderRidge is set to  take on  their familiar foe Legend  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday.
