Volleyball Recap: South East Jaguars vs. Carson Colts
South East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Carson Colts. While the Jaguars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Colts 25-20 in the first set.
South East actually scored more points across those five sets (107-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12.
Carson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Lee led the charge by getting ten digs and six aces.
South East's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Carson, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Looking ahead, South East is taking a road trip to take on Banning at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carson, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Bell at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
