Basketball Recap: Kyli Bell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead David Emanuel Academy over Covenant Academy

David Emanuel Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-51 heartbreaker at the hands of Covenant Academy.

David Emanuel Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyli Bell, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds. Addalyn Terwilliger was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

David Emanuel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Covenant Academy, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-8.

David Emanuel Academy will face off against Fullington Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fullington Academy will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something David Emanuel Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
