After losing to Batavia the last time they met, St. Charles East decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Fighting Saints skirted past the Bulldogs 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fighting Saints.

St. Charles East was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (71-66), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 16-25, 25-23.

Kaylee McInnis paced St. Charles East's offense, picking up 18 kills. McInnis got some help from Francesca Fevold and her 14 assists.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Delaney Wik, who had 12 digs and two aces. Sarah Alf also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

St. Charles East's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Batavia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-17.

St. Charles East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against South Elgin on the 15th. As for Batavia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lincoln-Way Central on the 15th.
