Basketball Game Preview: Triangle Math & Science Academy Tigers vs. Voyager Academy Vikings + How To Watch

The Triangle Math & Science Academy Tigers and the Voyager Academy Vikings will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Triangle Math & Science Academy's defense has only allowed 25 points per game this season, so Voyager Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Triangle Math & Science Academy came up short against Franklin Academy and fell 37-30.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Mennah Ibrahim, who posted ten points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aarushi Sojitra, who put up seven points and 18 rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Voyager Academy). They were the clear victors by a 37-17 margin over East Wake Academy on Friday.

Triangle Math & Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Voyager Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Triangle Math & Science Academy took a serious blow against Voyager Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, falling 67-17. Thankfully for the Tigers, Carlise Nelson (who earned 27 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
