Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Widefield). They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 43-7 win over the Doherty Spartans. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Gladiators considering their six-point performance the game before.

Cayden Elledge threw for 77 yards. Elijah Franks was his top target, picking up 77 receiving yards.

Widefield's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for Doherty, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

As of now, neither Widefield nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
