There's no place like home for Woodbridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hylton Bulldogs on Tuesday, sneaking past 39-37. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 56-39 victory back in January.

Woodbridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayanna Porter out in front who posted eight points and nine rebounds. What's more, Porter also posted a 44% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Maia Melendez was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Despite the loss, Hylton still got an impressive performance from Diamond Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Johnson has become a key player for Hylton: the team is 4-1 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 4-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aysia Gholston, who earned 12 points and six boards.

Woodbridge's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Hylton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.

Looking ahead, Woodbridge will challenge Colonial Forge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hylton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
