Football Game Preview: Logansport Tigers vs. Lakeview Gators

Logansport is a perfect 5-0 against Lakeview since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will head out to square off against the Gators at 7:00 p.m. Logansport will be strutting in after a win while Lakeview will be coming in after a loss.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Logansport snuck past St. Mary with a 20-14 victory. The win continues a trend for Logansport in their matchups with St. Mary: they've now won three in a row.

Keaton Cason looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 90 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 153 yards on nine of 21 attempts. He is becoming a predictor of Logansport's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Lakeview scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by LaSalle 46-12. The Gators were down 34-6 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Logansport, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Logansport against Lakeview in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 63-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
