Softball Recap: Pomperaug Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Pomperaug had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Immaculate Mustangs as they made off with a 12-4 victory. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 13-3 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Pomperaug's record now sits at 9-4. As for Immaculate, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pomperaug will face off against Harding at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Immaculate, they will take on Newtown at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
