Baseball Recap: Solorio Comes Up Short

Solorio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the De La Salle Meteors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sun Warriors of the 7-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Solorio got a big performance out of Josiah Saucedo, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that Saucedo brought in this season. Sebastian Davila-Adames was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Solorio's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for De La Salle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Solorio has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Evergreen Park on the 5th. As for De La Salle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Chicago Hope Academy on the 3rd.
