Softball Game Preview: Oldenburg Academy Twisters vs. South Ripley Raiders

Oldenburg Academy hasn't had much luck against South Ripley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Twisters will venture away from home to face off against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Oldenburg Academy has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Oldenburg Academy after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 18-15 to Switzerland County. The Twisters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for South Ripley's offense. They lost 12-0 to Rising Sun on Monday.

Oldenburg Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for South Ripley, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Oldenburg Academy couldn't quite finish off South Ripley when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Twisters avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
