Softball Recap: York Wins Going Away Against Tabb

York barely beat Tabb the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 14-1 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Sarah Witt and Bri Petrolia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Witt didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Petrolia pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Witt went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Petrolia scored a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Ella Thurman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Leslee Maldonado, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

York hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive contests.

York now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Tabb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
