Softball Recap: Lakeview Centennial Sets Scoring Season-High Against South Garland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeview Centennial). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-21 win over the South Garland Titans on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-15. As for South Garland, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, Lakeview Centennial will take on Naaman Forest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rangers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.23 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Garland, they will face off against Wylie East at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
