Football Recap: Darron Parry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Forsyth over Lambert

After flying high against South Forsyth last Friday, North Forsyth came back down to earth. The Raiders came up short against the Lambert Longhorns on Thursday, falling 48-27. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost three in a row.

North Forsyth's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darron Parry, who rushed for 75 yards and one score, and also caught one touchdown. Another pass catcher making a difference was Cash Martin, who picked up 129 receiving yards and one TD.

A big part of Lambert's victory came down to the chemistry between Ethan Daughtery and his top target Nathaniel Fernander. Daughtery threw for 286 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt while Fernander picked up 62 receiving yards and one score. What's more, Daughtery racked up 133.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

North Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lambert, their record now sits at 2-3.

Coming up, after each having a week off, North Forsyth and Denmark will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd. As for Lambert, they will take on North Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. on the 3rd. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
