Murray had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 55-point drubbing they dealt Webster County on Friday. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trojans 55-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.

It was another big night for Amarion Bomar, who rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Another player making a difference was Kelton Forrester, who rushed for 73 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Murray was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Webster County only rushed for 18.

Murray's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Webster County, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Murray and Webster County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Tigers see the field they'll take on Union County at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Webster County, their break will end when they face Hopkins County Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
