Basketball Game Preview: Birdville Hawks vs. Bishop Dunne Falcons

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Birdville Hawks challenge the Bishop Dunne Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Birdville has 12 straight wins, Bishop Dunne has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Birdville against Mansfield as the team secured an 84-48 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Bishop Dunne came up short against John Paul II on Friday, falling 93-67. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1027th, while the Cardinals are ranked 315th).

Bishop Dunne's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Birdville, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
