There's no place like home for Nocona, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Alvord Bulldogs by a score of 9-6 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-6 back in March.

Reagan Phipps spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Skye Kirby, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Marquez, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Nocona's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Alvord, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Nocona didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-2 victory against Chico on the 14th. As for Alvord, they have also already played their next game, a 10-1 win against Era on the 15th.
