Miami East entered their tilt with Troy on Monday with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. They blew past the Trojans 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Miami East not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Troy between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-15.

Miami East was led to victory by Kylee Bowsher and Khalia Lawrence. Bowsher had 11 digs and four assists, while Lawrence hit 76.2% for 16 kills and three blocks. That's the most blocks Lawrence has posted over her last eight contests. Jorgia Roeth also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Miami East was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 15 consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Troy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caylee Workman had eight digs and one assist.

Miami East's record now sits at 15-2. As for Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Miami East will head out to take on Troy Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Troy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stebbins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
