Butler had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 73-45 victory over the Chicago Marshall Commandos. The Lynx have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 22 points or more this season.

Butler's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xyanna Walton, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Walton's morning made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Cyra Conwell was another key player, putting up 20 points in addition to six steals and five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Chicago Marshall lost, don't look at Charmarre Scott. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Scott a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Alysha Murphy, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Butler's win bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Chicago Marshall, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 23-7.

Looking ahead, Butler will face off against Chicago Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chicago Washington will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Butler surely won't give up without a fight. Chicago Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
