Softball Recap: Fenton Tigers vs. Stevenson Spartans

Fenton put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged the Stevenson Spartans out 13-12. Fenton's victory was all the more impressive since Stevenson was averaging only 3.25 runs allowed on the season.

Allie Michewicz and Izzy Maccaughan did most of the damage at the plate: Michewicz scored three runs while going 3-for-4, while Maccaughan went 2-for-4 with three runs, a triple, and an RBI. Another player making a difference was Sophie Collins, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5.

Fenton pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Stevenson, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1.

Fenton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Stevenson: the pair will be back at it again later today.
