It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Elko had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed past the Truckee Wolverines to the tune of 42-7. Considering the Indians have won six contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ethan Kraintz had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 97 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August.

Truckee's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bennett Jitloff, who rushed for 105 yards on only nine carries.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Elko, bringing their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points over those games. As for Truckee, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Coming up, Elko will host Moapa Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Truckee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
