Baseball Recap: Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes vs. Carrollwood Day Patriots
Bishop McLaughlin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Carrollwood Day Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in February.
Dylan McNeil was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Steele Thalleen was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Pizzo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.
