Volleyball Recap: Fort Worth Christian Cardinals vs. Hockaday Daisies
Fort Worth Christian had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-3 to make it nine. They came up short against the Hockaday Daisies, falling 3-0. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their loss to the Daisies from their previous meeting back in August of 2021.
As for Hockaday, the victory got them back to even at 13-13. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0).
Hockaday was led to victory by Porter Johnston and Siena Ebert. Johnston had six digs and five aces, while Ebert had 14 digs and four assists. That's the most aces Johnston has posted since back in August of 2024.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Worth Christian will venture away from home to challenge Pantego Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Hockaday and Bishop Lynch will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
