Basketball Recap: Life Christian Academy Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Life Christian Academy picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 60-50 win over the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Eagles are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Life Christian Academy was led to victory by Travon Graves and Ahmed Salim Mustapha. Graves went 8 of 12 on his way to 16 points and eight boards, while Mustapha dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Graves has posted since back in December of 2024. Jordani Johnson was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Life Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Life Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points per game. As for Indian Rocks Christian, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Life Christian Academy and Eagle's View will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Eagle's View will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Life Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against City of Life Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
