Loris posted their closest win since April 19, 2024 on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Green Sea Floyds Trojans 5-4. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Loris' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Avery Todd, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Loris has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Green Sea Floyds, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Loris will welcome Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Green Sea Floyds, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hannah-Pamplico at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
