Basketball Recap: Bluffton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bluffton waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Spencerville Bearcats by a score of 43-35. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 59-32 victory the Bearcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Bluffton is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Spencerville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluffton will face off against Columbus Grove at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. As for Spencerville, they will head out on the road to challenge Upper Scioto Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
