Basketball Recap: Greenwood Takes a Loss

Greenwood lost against Owen-Withee back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Greenwood Indians took a blow against the Owen-Withee Blackhawks, falling 71-25. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Blackhawks are ranked 199th).

Greenwood dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Owen-Withee, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Greenwood will take on Gilman at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Owen-Withee has already played their next matchup (against Edgar), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
