With a playoff win on the line, Pike Liberal Arts rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Pike Liberal Arts is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-16 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they now have a losing record of 20-21.

Coming up, Pike Liberal Arts will take on Reeltown on Friday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Tuscaloosa Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
