Softball Recap: Versailles Takes a Loss

Versailles extended their losing streak to eight on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-12 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Butler Bears. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 11-10 to the Bears when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Butler, they now have a winning record of 7-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

For Butler's part, Taylor Hudson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Kadyn Cook was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Versailles is taking a road trip to face off against El Dorado Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butler, they will take on Green Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
