Galena lost against Exeter back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears took a 23-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. On the bright side, the 20- run effort marked the Bears' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Andru Foster stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those doubles were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Doak, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.

Galena dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Exeter, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, Galena will head out to take on Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Exeter, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Wheaton at 5:00 p.m.
