The Tigers came up short against the North Kansas City Hornets on Friday, falling 4-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Excelsior Springs of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Excelsior Springs' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Kansas City, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
