Softball Recap: Laporte Comes Up Short

Laporte came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Hill City/Northland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since April 29, 2025.

Laporte's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hill City/Northland, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Laporte will head out to square off against Littlefork-Big Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hill City/Northland, they have already played their next contest, an 11-3 victory against Floodwood on the 16th.
