Leonardtown got themselves on the board against Marriotts Ridge on Saturday, but Marriotts Ridge never followed suit. They blew past Marriotts Ridge 11-0. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 11  runs or more this season.
 Kayla Howard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Howard was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Leonardtown got a  massive  performance out of  Kendall Wathen, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  double. That  home run was  Wathen's first of the season.  Lindsay Hunter was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and three  runs.
 Leonardtown was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marriotts Ridge only posted a  batting average of  .000.
The  victory was  the fifth in a row for Leonardtown, bringing their record up to 12-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Marriotts Ridge,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-5.
 Looking ahead, Leonardtown will be playing at home against La Plata  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 11.1  runs per game this season. As for Marriotts Ridge, they will head out to  face off against Atholton  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Marriotts Ridge are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
