Basketball Recap: Linn County Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Linn County waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 47-39 victory over the Bevier Wildcats. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 49-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Linn County pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Bevier, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Linn County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 111-53 defeat against Green City on the 11th. As for Bevier, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbia Independent at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th. Columbia Independent is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.
