Soccer Game Preview: Mercy McAuley vs. Batavia

The Mercy McAuley Wolves will face off against the Batavia Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Batavia will have to contend with a Mercy McAuley team hungry for a victory, something the squad hasn't seen since September 13. Mercy McAuley and Carroll finished up their matchup with a 3-3 draw on Saturday. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, Mercy McAuley got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

They hit Carroll with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aubree Bernecker, Josie Woeste, and Maddie Sucietto.

Meanwhile, Batavia had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three last Saturday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Spartans.

Batavia's win bumped their record up to 10-4-3. With that draw, Mercy McAuley's record moves to 2-7-6.
