Softball Recap: Manton Takes a Loss

Manton fell victim to Grayling and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 18-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for Manton and nudges their season record down to 8-10. As for Grayling, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-1 record this season.

Manton will head out to challenge McBain at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grayling, they will welcome Pinconning at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
