After a string of five wins, Enumclaw's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peninsula Seahawks. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Seahawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.
Enumclaw got a good showing from Russell Zimmer, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Kannius Alva and Thade Highfill stepped up to the plate in a big way. Alva went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Highfill went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Enumclaw's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Peninsula, their record now sits at 18-5.
As of now, neither Enumclaw nor the Seahawks have any future games scheduled.
