Soccer Recap: Treutlen Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Screven County, Treutlen was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Greene County Tigers a 2-0 shutout. This was payback for Treutlen, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Camdyn Brantley and Maya Brinson scored both of Treutlen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Treutlen now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Greene County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Treutlen will square off against Hawkinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Treutlen's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Greene County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lincoln County at 5:30 p.m. on March 6.
