Petersburg barely beat Pendleton County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings never let the Wildcat get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Thursday. Considering the Vikings have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Petersburg's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Pendleton County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Petersburg will square off against Southern at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3.6, the Rams 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pendleton County, they will head out to challenge Tucker County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcat are facing the Mountain Lions at the right time seeing as the Mountain Lions are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
