Basketball Recap: Liam Danelski's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kodiak over Palmer

Kodiak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the Palmer Moose on the road by a 67-51 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Moose are ranked tenth).

Kodiak lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Liam Danelski, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kelly Ticman, who put up 11 points.

Kodiak's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Palmer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Coming up, Kodiak will host Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-38 loss against Grace Christian on the 25th.
