Poly is 9-0-1 against Grant since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Parrots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Grant took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Poly, who comes in off a win.

Poly was handed a three-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene back in December of 2025. They beat Granada Hills Charter by a goal, winning 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Poly's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Granada Hills Charter are ranked 572nd).

Ernest Walker and Jose Saucedo scored both of Poly's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Grant was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They came up short against Arleta, falling 4-1. Grant haven't had much luck with Arleta recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Poly's win bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-2.

Poly was able to grind out a solid victory over Grant in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, winning 2-0. Will the Parrots repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
