Volleyball Recap: Edwards Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Thursday. Edwards fell just short of Leflore County by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Leflore County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Tuesday.

Edwards started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 16-25, 25-17, 25-9, 15-9.

Edwards now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Leflore County, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Edwards will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Yazoo County at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Leflore County, they will venture away from home to square off against J.Z. George at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
