Flag Football Recap: University Comes Up Short

University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 50-14 loss at the hands of the Novato Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 661st, while the Hornets are ranked 255th).

University's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Novato, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. University will head out to challenge San Rafael at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Novato, they will venture away from home to square off against El Cerrito at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
