Baseball Game Preview: Richlands Wildcats vs. Dixon Bulldogs

The Richlands Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Dixon Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Richlands' last matchup with Swansboro could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. Richlands lost 9-0 to Swansboro. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Dixon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to West Carteret, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Dixon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Richlands, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Richlands suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Dixon in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Richlands avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
