Volleyball Game Preview: Paetow Panthers vs. Tompkins Falcons

Paetow is 0-7 against Tompkins since September of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m.

Paetow is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since August 26th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Jordan.

While Paetow had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Tompkins came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 19-25, 25-7, 25-9.

Tompkins had a senior duo take command as Lainey Monroe had 13 digs and two aces and Olivia Beatty had eight digs and two aces.

Tompkins was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Tompkins' victory bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Paetow, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
