Basketball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Comes Up Short

Bishop McDevitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 75-46 loss at the hands of the La Salle College Explorers. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Explorers are ranked 26th).

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Hammer, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Denisco, who posted six points.

Bishop McDevitt's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for La Salle College, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Bishop McDevitt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-49 win against Big Spring on the 3rd. As for La Salle College, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 80-70 victory against Neumann-Goretti on the 3rd.
