Volleyball Recap: Beth Hughes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lincolnview over Miller City + How To Watch

Lincolnview came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Miller City Wildcats. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13, 25-14.

Lincolnview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Beth Hughes, who had 12 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Leading Miller City to victory were Sophia Ruck and Libby Erford. Ruck had 15 assists and six digs, while Erford had nine digs and two assists.

Lincolnview's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Miller City, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Lincolnview will head out on the road to challenge Coldwater at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miller City, they will be playing at home against Holgate at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
