Baseball Recap: East Rankin Academy Comes Up Short

The Patriots took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Simpson Academy Cougars on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost seven in a row.

Andy Bowman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Carlisle, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

East Rankin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Simpson Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
